MOVIE GALORE!

TITLE: SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE(2008)
directed by: Danny Boyle

Love and money... You have mixed them both

I watched it last night after bought it in Victoria. One of my girlfriend told me that it is a great movie. I thought its just a crap because it features the game who wants to be a millionaire an old show. But i will not post it here and share with if it is just a waste of time movie.
Well, this film just Won 8 Oscars, another 71 wins & 26 nominations. haha! great! great! great movie.

The movie goes like this!

Slumdog Millionaire is the story of Jamal Malik (Patel), an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"

But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika (Pinto), the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show¹s questions.

Each chapter of Jamal's increasingly layered story reveals where he learned the answers to the show¹s seemingly impossible quizzes. But one question remains a mystery: what is this young man with no apparent desire for riches really doing on the game show?

When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out.

THEME SONG:

"JAI HO"

credits of the film of SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

In translation, the title means "Victory". It can also mean "Praise", "Hail" or "Hallelujah".
The song was recorded in 2009 by The Pussycat Dolls with English lyrics and featuring lead vocals from Nicole Scherzinger.
Produced in collaboration with A. R. Rahman and Ron Fair, Scherzinger prefers to consider this version an interpretation of the original song rather than a remix. The music video, shot in a Vienna trainyard, alludes to the dance sequence in the film.
From Hollywood to Mumbai, the Pussycat Dolls recreate the last scene from Slumdog Millionaire in the video for “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)” featuring A.R. Rahman. The clip was shot at a train station in Vienna, Austria, and directed by Thomas Kloss. The music video is available to be view on youtube.com :))

DO WATCH AND COMMENT. thank you!
